Rear Frame Rail ... Tweaked or Stock ? Empty Rear Frame Rail ... Tweaked or Stock ?

Post  Chiefrocka Sun Aug 24, 2014 12:51 pm

    Hey guys ....

I had to clear out all the crickets out of this forum before I could post !!  Laughing

    I am working on a 94 Roadmaster LT1 Chassis.

The chassis is will go under a 62 GMC Suburban

While I was staring at the rear of the chassis, I noticed the L/S exhaust hanger looked a little shifted.

Then I saw it .... the R/S of tail end of chassis looks almost inline with the middle section of frame.

However, the L/S tapers in quite a bit more. (2" with a cross measurement)

I'm assuming this is NOT stock.

However, the car was in perfect shape. The rear bumper and its mounts were perfect, with no signs of impact or side collision.

Looks like I have some porta-power work to do !!

    Thoughts ??

    Hey welcome!

You got any pics of that? To me sounds like an accident did at one point happen.

    Welcome to the forum!

I agree, it sounds like it may have received some rear end damage at some point. Pics will be a HUGE help in finding an answer.

Actually, I took care of it that same evening. I was able to straighten it back out to within 1/16" !!

I do take many pictures, and I will post soon
