Canuck Motorsports Lowering Springs
Alot of companies sell springs for Caprices and Impalas, but only a few sell drop springs, unless its for the 94-96 Impala ss. Canuck Motorsports has a selection of drop springs for the 77-96 models. They offer kits which include 4 springs in either 1.5inch drop all the way around or 2inch drop in the front and 3inch drop in the rear. Keep in mind that stock Impala SS springs are already an inch lower than the 77-90 models, so if you purchase a kit for the 94-96 impala ss in the 1.5 or the 2 and 3inch drops, make sure you add an inch to that, so really your getting a 2.5 inch or 3 and 4inch drop. For the tech savvy, these springs have a spring rate of 485 in the front, and 285 in the rear, and are constant rate. They also offer custom springs built to your specs, and those start out around $350-$400 for 2. The ones mentioned above are 179.95 plus shipping. You can contact them at 1-877-599-5434, or click the link below.

Does anyone have picture of their car after the 2 and 3 inch spring kit was installed. I'm looking at purchasing that set up.

Talking with Canuck Motorsports, they said the 2 and 3inch drops will even the car out, if you want more, go with those impala ss springs, youll get even lower!!

Looks like I will get the 2" drop springs and see how that works. I am sure it will be lower than what it is now.

I was thinking of just going with a 1.5 inch drop all the way around, because with their set, your allowed only a 3inch drop in the rear and a 2inch drop in the front, but im wanting that slight nose down attitude, but thats just me.

You know that might be a better route for me as well. I think your right about it have a rear up attitude instead of level with the 1.5 inch drop. I don't want it level because I want the back to squat on launch a little bit at least.

I just ordered the 1.5 drop springs today. I will be installing the rear ones as soon I get them. Got to get that rear end put in the car before the snow starts flying. Set me back at $229.95 for all 4 coil springs.

Those stock ones look a lot taller than the new ones. We will see soon.

Re: Canuck Motorsports Lowering Springs
wow those are pretty short next to the stock ones, they must be very stiff, did you try and press down on both and feel a difference? But regardless, they look nice, and the rear sits perfect, hopefully no rub!

Re: Canuck Motorsports Lowering Springs
The new ones were thicker wire plus a little stiffer. No rub when we were pushing up and down in the back.

I put some of those Monroe Sensatracs on there for now. It will depend on when I start driving it if I have to change them to something has a longer stroke or a different ride.

Re: Canuck Motorsports Lowering Springs
@79treemaster - She looks great with those springs on the rear!
You lucky dog! Did you know that there were only a handful of 79 Caprice Landau's made with your interior/exterior color combo?
IIRC, there were only 7 produced.
White is the rarest of the interior colors.
Ummmm, wanna sell it?
Just a fyi thing for everyone....
Installing stock Impala SS springs will give you an immediate 1" drop all the way around.
Except for rear end parts on station wagons, all suspension and drivetrain parts for 77-96 B-bodies interchange.
If a part like a spring or dropped spindle is listed for "94-96 SS only", it just means the seller hasn't done their research and they've been losing sales.

Re: Canuck Motorsports Lowering Springs
I better keep it. Thanks for the offer though. Good to know its a rare combo, but that also makes it hard to find interior parts.

So I just got this 85 Delta 88 ... you're saying that if I buy a 2/3 drop for a 94-96 Impala SS, it will fit my Olds, and give me a 3/4 drop?
