These are pics of my 1978 Impala 2-door Sport Coupe shortly after I purchased it.  When these pics were taken, the only modification I had made so far was swapping the 1978 tail-lights for the 1977 model tail-lights.

The car was in remarkably good shape when I purchased it.  I am the third owner.  The first owner obviously took great care to paint the backside of nearly every panel on the car that was exposed and accessible as well as keeping records of maintenance and replacement parts. (how rare and refreshing)  Wink

I have done many things to the car since these pictures were taken, and many more things left to be done.  I will post some more pics to keep those interested informed.  Any and all feedback welcome.

Thanks. I love the lines on these cars and I think monochrome paints help to show them off.

It will likely be flat black with no chrome within the next year or so. (like the '79 in the left bar of my post)

Myloth, your car is looking good!

I don't much care for the body side moldings either. They have their value in regards to protecting from paint chips or door dings in parking lots.... but I don't leave mine in parking lots very often.

My car still has the moldings, they are just solid body color.... for now. Wink
