This an update I thought I'd post to let anyone the results of using silicone Hoses (Blue) which I have been since last
summer. In this pic you I took last summer under the hood when all hoses were fresh.
Notice the PCV Hose is accented with a circle . All the hoses except the PCV look the same as in this picture.
Here is the PVC this afternoon.
This not grime on the outside the oil has started to penetrate the hose and is turning it brown. Apparently this
process takes a lot of all oil as the vacuum hose looks fine. The gist is not to use Silicone products for a PCV hose
or anything to do with oil related transference. I am installing a new hose this afternoon sans Silicone!
The heater hoses btw hold up great even when they get hot seem to do better than the rubber does.
