Nude tot he forum and figured I post up my money pit. 79 Impala Sports Coupe. Been working on her when I get time as it's my daily.
Goals are simple, go from stock to dropped, 6 banger to turbo 5.3 "had a 69 SBC327 until it was recently stolen from my shed." So, she's gonna get a 5.3LS instead.
Still working the rest of the car in the meantime.

You've got a good start. It's hard to picture a 500lb motor being snatched sorry to hear.

Anyway those Gen III/IVs are tasty aren't they I'd like to install one myself one of these days.

Pardon my French, the fuckers snatched and grabbed it when I was out of town. Considering this area, it was scrapped, so it was scrapped for all of 40.00, Which still has me royally pissed.

At first when I got her I was like meh, but over time, shes grown on me.
Have a few things that I want to get done before starting on the motor swap.
work the entire suspension, setting it up more for twisties. Right now she's sitting on Viking coilovers, need to get off my ass and install the Hotchkis sway bars under the counch and UMI bars that are in the trunk. lol

Need to find the seat mounts next to the trans tunnel from a bubble style caprice, So I can get the Sparco Chronos out of my livingroom. Then cut and slide the 86 fire chicken center console a little under the dash, which is also in the shed.

Exterior wire, need to cut and extend a stand up wing from an 86 Monte Carlo SS, and square off the ends to flow more with the body line.
Also find a good body man that can cut the hood along the lines, and raise the back 2 inches.
Lastly, drill the bumper shocks, push them bach an inch to get rid of the filler panels, Bumpers are under the crawl space. lol

Really have too many things laying around, Just need time and good weather.

Welcome to the Forum! Looks like a cool project. I dig the black interior! Looks good with the 79 Caprice front grill/headlight setup!

Thanks, header panel was changed a few years ago because a dear jumped out in road.
At first I slammed on the brakes "was stock ride height" which caused the front end to dive hard, snap decision to stomp the go pedal and rib check em, IMO keep the fucker from coming into the windshield. Luckily around this part of Pa, there deer are small in comparison to what I am use too in Va. So his ass went flying end over end and slamming its neck on the guardrail on the highway, by the time I went back for em, Guy already had the damn thing in the back of his truck. Kinda pissed cause there went my chances for deer BBQ. Laughing
