I am currently doing a LS swap in a 84 caprice I have most everything hooked up just have one question. On the radiator (oem I assume it came with the car) there is a 5/8" nipple about 4" below the rad cap any idea where it connects to? I may be mistaken about the oem rad part but I bought it as a package.

Usually that nipple goes to the one side of the heater core. Some models of Chev's did not use it though and went from the intake manifold and the water pump to the heater core. I think I have some pictures and if I do I will post them in a minute.

The one picture shows the hose from the rad on a 1982 K30 (similar set up to a car).
The other picture shows where the rad hoses could be(circled in red).
