Replacement or Substitute for Decklid Light Circuit Mercury Switch Empty Replacement or Substitute for Decklid Light Circuit Mercury Switch

Hello, this is Chuck. Not having looked in the parts-for-sale area of this site yet, I want to ask what others have been doing to restore the functionality of the light in their rear deck when the OEM mercury switch fails on the decklid harness. I've not had any luck finding one in a boneyard nor online for my '96 Roadmaster, which I like to keep as original as possible. I'm not at all against a retrofitted upgrade idea, especially if I can maintain a stock appearance.
