78 coupe cruise is dead

Hi guys im all new here.I got a nice 78 caprice coupe and everything works fine except the cruise,please help.I dont know were the fuse for the cruise is and i dont know what it should be on the wires at the cruise unit(the ones that says hold and engage)To be honest im not even sure how to press the button i heard something about pressing it halfway and stuff?Ps i hope you can understand what im writing.English isnt my native language,sorry.

Do you mean the gauges fuse I believe that's the Cruise along with gauges , seatbelt . Beyond that I don't know


much else myself about the cruise control.

I don't know if your Chevy has the same system as my Pontiac, but I fixed my Cruise control when I replaced all the Vacuum lines under the hood. there was a small hole in the large hose going to the cruise control box mounted on the drivers side inner fender well.

Thx i will check that again :/ they all look like new.
