What's happening forum? I have a 1979 chevy impala 4 door sedan that is bone stock. Small block chevy, didn't run the casting numbers to see if its a 305 or a 350. I think it has a TH350 trans. Im looking to do a big block chevy swap but, Im having trouble sourcing long tube headers for that year of impala. Does anyone know what kind of headers i can order to do the swap without having to hammer the primary tubes?

Re: BIG BLOCK CHEVY SWAP HEADERS?
I think the 2nd gen Camaro BBC headers Will be work fine. Maybe 71-76 Impala, Caprice. I used shorty headers, when I ran a 427BBC.

Re: BIG BLOCK CHEVY SWAP HEADERS?
Thanks @ Matev, What you recommend is the one constant i keep getting while doing my research. I've called to local performance shops, Summitracing.com, Jegs.com and a couple other shops. They didn't have a specific part number for the swap. But, when i googled it and looked up some options on amazon and ebay, the 2nd gen camaro and shorty headers were an option. I'm gonna get quotes on both full length 2ng gen camaro and the shorty header and go from there. I appreciate the help dude. Be blessed.

Re: BIG BLOCK CHEVY SWAP HEADERS?
2nd gen Camaros have the same front suspension like B body and maybe the same frame dimensions. I know the F body has half frame, but the engine bay part like a Caprice.
Hm, 73-77 Chevelles the other option...

Re: BIG BLOCK CHEVY SWAP HEADERS?
Ok @ Matev, I was looking up headers for the 2nd gen camaro and looking at different options as far as long or short tube headers. Im not sure which one I'll get yet. I'm gone decide on cam profile and intake manifold combination and then see what those part combinations recommend. Thanks for the info and help. Be blessed.
